It’s November! Which in my house means: hide from all the people who want you to come up with ideas for Christmas presents! (And despair over figuring out what you will give to others….)
I’ve never been one for wanting lots of material goods and my family often complains that “I never want anything”.
Well, this year I’m a new crypto investor and that means I have a fascination for all things crypto!
So I’ve been doing a little digging on Amazon for great Christmas presents for fans of cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin enthusiasts, and new crypto investors.
Here’s what I’ve found:
(Have you seen our new puzzle book? Featuring crypto-themed Sudoku puzzles with instructions and information in French and English!) Buy on Amazon.com today!)
Clothing and Apparel gifts
Looking to declare to the world your enthusiasm for Bitcoin? What better way than wearing a fun t-shirt! Here are some of my favorites that I found on Amazon:
· “Hodl to the moon”
· “Things I do in my spare time”
· And the perfect gift for a little one who belongs to a crypto enthusiast: “Toddler Hodler”
If you’d rather show your crypto pride in other accessories, I love this sparkly little Bitcoin pendant.
And who wouldn’t want some crypto socks? In the right situation, socks are great for compliments!
On the other hand, do you like Flip-Flops? Personally, I can’t stand the things with the wedge of plastic between my toes, but if your special someone likes them, I bet they’ll love this present!
Physical Objects
Perhaps your special someone or friend loves to check on their crypto investments first thing in the morning. What better way to start the day than a bitcoin themed coffee mug? Check out this one for all those Bitcoin investing dads or the mug that my kids should get me for Christmas (“Warning. I may start talking about crypto at any time!”)
Books About Crypto Investing
If you knew me in real life, you would be amazed at what I am about to reveal to you: I have NOT learned everything I know about cryptocurrency investing and bitcoin from reading every book listed on Amazon! Shocker, I know.
But if I had toddlers and young children, you’d better believe that I would be asking for these fun-looking books to share with my kids!
· Bitcoin for Babies: Teach Adults about the Blockchain (recommended by one reviewer as a great primer for parents on how the blockchain works)
· B is for Bitcoin: an ABC book on cryptocurrencies for toddlers (recommended as fun to read and great artwork)
· Blockchain for Babies (recommended by several reviewers as a great board book but better for the adults)
· The Secret Castle in the Cloud: Lost Bitcoins (a story for older kids to enjoy with very mixed reviews; I’d be curious to read it though!)
· One Coin, Two Coin (a great beginner book for adults learning about cryptocurrency investing; one of the two books I *have* read!)
Novelty Objects
First a word on what NOT to buy your favorite new investor.
When I was poking around on Amazon the other day, there was a Bitcoin shaped “cold-storage wallet” that came up. I can’t find it now, but it seemed from the reviews that it was a one-time use gimmick of an object where you could register online for a wallet to store bitcoin. But reviewers warned that, because the codes were printed on the item, it was very likely that these codes might be compromised and that whomever was selling the wallets to you could later steal your Bitcoin if you were to use their codes.
So, be a friend to your favorite Bitcoin investor and stay away from gimmicky wallets and “surefire” ways to store and keep your secret keys and passwords. If you want to help them store their Bitcoin, you can look into a cold storage wallet produced by Trezor, who seems to have a very good reputation. Or you can buy them a pretty journal where they can write their passwords and details for their various accounts.
Other ideas that can’t be hacked are:
· For the hardcore Bitcoin or Crypto enthusiast, you can’t go wrong with this neon green LED display price lister. Sure, it’s a bit pricey, but they’ll love being able to check on the current prices of their favorite crypto at any hour of the day!
· You can also gift physical coins to represent the virtual ones they may have. There are lots of options on Amazon for single coins or sets of three, but I especially like this beautiful set:
And there you have it. All sorts of ideas for Christmas presents for your favorite Bitcoin investor or Cryptocurrency enthusiast. (And even more fun: sign up to our newsletter and be the first to hear when the next volume in our series of crypto-themed puzzlebooks goes on sale!)
